At Tawa intermediate most of the year 8 girls learnt self defence in the studio.
We did alot of awesome things like, play games and learnt how to fight of an attacker by punching and kicking.
One of the things i learnt was when getting attacked you yell not scream, this is because if you scream people will think your just screaming because you always hear screaming, but when you yell things out like "help" they will take more notice.
At the end of the lesson we got plastic bangles that says clever, brave, and strong,
i cant wait to go again next week on Monday. :)
Hi Arielle
ReplyDeleteGosh I learned something new from your post. I never thought about the effect yelling and not screaming might have on getting help. That's a really helpful tip.
I'm glad you are enjoying your classes. I was wondering if you girls might want to take a still camera next Monday to take a couple of photos maybe. What do you think?
